Grandpa Bernie said in his autobiography that he went to a school called the Commercial School. The building where the school was was the next place on our list to visit.

Vadim led us to a street which used to house a lot of merchants and synagogues. Here is a picture of what was once the Commercial School:

The building is still being used in some educational capacity, but I don't remember what.

Afterwards, Vadim showed us the synagogue he is renovating:

I thanked Vadim, and we said our goodbyes, and went back to the motel.

Whew! That was a long day!
